This course provides students with knowledge, skills, and understanding to design and implement effective mathematics instruction (K-12). Focus is on the content, methods, and materials developmentally appropriate for mathematics instruction for a range of students, including diverse and special needs children. The course is based on the Principles and Standards for School Mathematics from NCTM. Prerequisite(s): For B.S. SPED majors and B.I.S. majors with a concentration in SPED; minimum grades of ”C” or better in EXED 303 and EDUC 303 . Corequisite(s): EXED 474 , EXED 484 and LED 430 .
