SMAD 342. Elements of Creative Advertising 3.00 Introduce fundamentals of advertising message design and content production for traditional and new media. Examine common questions associated with producing content (i.e., functions and basics of design, for print, broadcast, and online venues). Focus on characteristics of effective messages across media, and developing professional production skills to produce diverse creative pieces. Emphasis on ethical and legal issues. Prerequisites: SMAD 201 , SMAD 202 , SMAD 242 and SMAD 252 or permission of instructor.
