SMAD 342. Elements of Creative Advertising

Introduces fundamentals of advertising message design and content production for traditional and new media. Examines common questions associated with producing content (i.e., functions and basics of design for print, broadcast and online venues). Focuses on characteristics of effective messages across media and developing professional production skills to produce diverse creative pieces. Emphasizes ethical and legal issues.

  Prerequisite: SMAD 201 , SMAD 202 SMAD 242  and SMAD 252 ; SMAD 203  or permission of instructor. Corequisite: SMAD 203  or permission of instructor.
