EXED 475. Program Planning in Special Education

This course is designed to teach legal and practical skills and strategies in development of program plans to meet the academic and behavioral needs of students with disabilities accessing the K-12 general or adapted curriculum. Skills will be applicable in a variety of placement settings and service delivery models. Included is a detailed study of purposes and procedures involved in the development of Individualized Education Plans. This will include how to use curriculum-based assessment data to develop the plan and evaluate the success of instruction in academics, social behaviors and life skills. Prerequisite: EXED 341  or EXED 342 , EXED 474 .
