ENGR 440. Mechatronics 3.00 Mechatronics is the synergetic integration of mechanical, electrical, computer and control systems to create intelligent systems. This course explores mechatronics with an emphasis on sensors and automation. Students will learn and apply theoretical and practical knowledge of how sensors work and interface with systems to enable automation. Additional topics covered include industrial controller programming, actuators, signal conditioning and interface circuits, and industrial robotics. Prerequisite: ENGR 313 or approval of the instructor.
