CS 457. Information Security 3.00 This course covers the basic issues of information system security. The roles of planning, management, policies, procedures, and personnel in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information are described. Specific threats (malicious code, network attacks, and hostile content) and widely used countermeasures (access control mechanisms, firewalls, intrusion detection systems) are also discussed.
