SCOM 122H. Fundamental Human Communication: Indiv Presentations - Honors [C1HC] 3.00 Study of human communication as a process. Overview of the principles and practices of communication in a public environment. Emphasis on examining the role of self-concept, perception, culture, verbal and nonverbal dimensions in the communication process, using power and managing conflict, applying critical listening, practicing audience analysis, and constructing informative and persuasive speeches. Public speaking required. May be used for general education credit. May not be used for major credit. Honors Students
