CHEM 353. Environmental Chemistry 3.00 An introduction to chemical pollution of water in the air, soil, groundwater, streams and drinking water from a chemist’s perspective. Topics include sources and methods of assessment, fates and reactions, and transport of chemicals in the environment. This course does not include laboratory activities. Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in CHEM 241 or Permission of the Instructor
