CHEM 260. Concepts of Biochemistry 3.00 A brief survey of the principal constituents of living cells, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids, with emphasis on their synthesis and Transformations in vivo. Intermediary metabolism and protein replication will be stressed. (The laboratory and lecture portions must be taken concurrently; not available for major credit.) Credit may no be earned in both BIO 220 and CHEM 260. Formerly CHEM 222. Prerequisite: CHEM 241 and either CHEM 241L or CHEM 242L .
