SOCI 300. Sociological Inquiry 3.00 A systematic introduction to various modes of sociological investigation, including positivism, interpretivism, and critical analysis. Students learn to evaluate, critique, and design original sociological inquiries with special attention to how sociological inquiry is guided by different philosophical and theoretical commitments. Prerequisites: SOCI Major and; SOCI 200 and SOCI 231 or equivalent. (Note: SOCI 231 used to be SOCI 331).
