JUST 347. Drugs, Politics and Society 3.00 This course examines the relationship between drugs, politics and society in the United States and elsewhere. A full range of drugs, both legal and illegal, will be discussed. Topics to be covered include: the consumption, production, and distribution of different types of drugs; drug addiction and recovery; the representation of drug users; and attempts to regulate drugs and drug users. Addressing key justice issues posed by drugs and their users will be a key concern. Prerequisites: JUST 200 and one other 200 level JUST course, excluding JUST 225
