HTH 245. Foundations of Infectious Disease

An overview of the incidence, prevalence, causation, and prevention of the major infectious diseases which are currently of concern in the twenty-first century. Major signs and symptoms of the diseases as well as treatment will be reviewed. The course will also cover the body`s defense system and the principles of disease occurrence. HTH 230  is the pre- or corequisite.
