The minor program will provide students with the civic knowledge, skills and judgment to be engaged citizens that impact the world. It intends to prepare students to be civic leaders in addressing today’s most pressing problems, ranging from income inequality, social justice, economic development, threats to democracy and human rights, global justice, and climate change. Embedded within the traditional academic fields of all of JMU’s colleges, the minor provides trans-disciplinary problem solvers and civic leaders.
