ENGR 331. Engineering Design III: Design Thinking and Fabrication Methods

This course provides students with an overview of the engineering design process with a focus on design thinking principles. This course emphasizes methods and practices in problem exploration, stakeholder analysis, requirements identification and writing, conceptual design, and select topics in embodiment and detailed design. Students will apply various design tools and methods, including modeling and prototyping using various fabrication techniques to engage in iterative testing and refinement of engineering solutions. Prerequisite(s): MATH 237  and PHYS 250 ; and a minimum grade of “C-” in each of ENGR 212 ENGR 226  and ENGR 232 .
