ARCD 200. Architect Design Studio I

This studio focuses on the design process through the creation of objects and architectural spaces. Projects involve investigations into syntax and design language, program interpretation, materiality, ritual, use and the constructed order of built space. Emphasis is placed on experimentation, risk and play. Design projects will incorporate constructed drawings, sketching, diagramming, model-building and writing. Prerequisite(s): Architectural Design majors only. FDS 102 , FDS 104 , and FDS 106 ; ARTH 205 , ARTH 206 or equivalent; or by permission of the instructor.
