ELED 334. Children and Social Studies

This course focuses on the content, processes, pedagogy and materials for teaching social studies in the elementary classroom. Knowledge of cognitive development as applied to the selection of content, methods, materials and strategies for organizing the learning environment for elementary learners will be examined. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education, ELED 208  Corequisite: ELED 322 , ELED 332 , ELED 433  and LED 436 .
