The chemistry and physics of materials of the nanometer scale will be explored. Lectures and laboratories will cover contemporary issues in surfaces, self-assembly and low dimensional materials. The intersection of biology, chemistry, engineering and physics will be explored through nanoscience. Prerequisite: CHEM 132  and MATH 236 . Prerequisite or corequisite: PHYS 150  or PHYS 250 .
