ARTH 440. City of Jerusalem

A critical examination of medieval and early modern Jerusalem, c. 1000-1800, with a special focus on the city’s religious diversity evidenced through its art and architecture. The course will examine Islamic, Christian and Jewish cultural traditions in the city. Prerequisite:  ARTH 205  or ARTH 206 ; or MECM minor status.
