An examination of Nietzsche’s philosophy based on close study of one or more of his major works. The course may also more briefly examine one or more thinkers who especially influenced Nietzsche (for example Schopenhauer) or who were strongly influenced by him (for example Foucault). Prerequisite: PHIL 101  or permission of the instructor.
