SCOM 370. Introduction to Health Communication

An introduction to the study of communication in health and illness contexts. Covers the impact of interpersonal relationships, sociocultural and organizational influences, and media and health campaigns on health beliefs and behaviors. Emphasizes strategies and approaches that promote effective communication in a variety of health contexts.  Prerequisite: Any 100-level SCOM course.
