EXED 339. The Role of the Speech-Language Pathologist in Public Schools


How a speech/language pathologist manages multiple schools; schedules across general education instruction; screens; assesses; uses diagnostic tools for evaluation and placement of students based on the educational impact of the speech-language impairment; attends special education and school meetings with an array of teachers, therapists and parents; completes divisional and state paperwork and; provides therapy based on each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) will be covered. Prerequisite: EXED 200
