NSG 311. Preventing Chronic Illness in the Community

This course explores the development of health promotion programs for preventing chronic illness in select communities. Students will build upon previous knowledge to develop a prevention proposal and design a program for use with multicultural and diverse members and segments of a population.  Students will work in interdisciplinary teams with resources in the local community to implement a pilot of the program and to collect and articulate outcome data.
