ITAL 386. Italian Short Stories

A study of literary Italian short stories from the Middle Ages to the 21st century, including a selection of texts by prominent authors such as Giovanni Boccaccio, Giambattista Basile, Giovanni Verga, Grazia Deledda, Gabriele D’Annunzio, Luigi Pirandello, Natalia Ginzburg, Italo Calvino, and Ada Negri. Prerequisite: ITAL 300  or the permission of the instructor
