HIST 458. Modern European Intellectual History 3.00 This upper-level seminar considers important thinkers and major trends in philosophical, social, and aesthetic thought in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Europe. Instead of merely surveying a series of ideas and thinkers, the course will trace the development of ideas across times and cultures by undertaking careful readings of key texts.
