HIST 478. Eastern Europe

A study of the lands between Germany and Russia, from the Baltic to the Balkans. Emphasis is on the Hapsburg Empire and its successor states, the origins of the World Wars, the post-World War II communist governments, and the cultural and intellectual contributions of the Eastern European people. Prerequisite: History Majors must have earned credit for HIST 395  prior to enrolling in this course.
