The Office of Orientation and Transition is committed to preparing undergraduate students for the transition to becoming a Duke, no matter if students are experiencing college for the first time or joining us from another institution. It all starts with the One Book Experience, followed by attending Orientation and then Weeks of Welcome to kick-off the semester. New students will be able to interact with their upper-class peers for support along the way including the Orientation Peer Advisers (OPAs), Orientation Operations Assistants (OOAs) and First yeaR Orientation Guides (FROGs). Our programs and services are designed to introduce new students to all that JMU offers.
