Program Description
The minor program will provide students with the civic knowledge, skills and judgment to be engaged citizens that impact the world. It intends to prepare students to be citizen leaders in addressing today's most pressing civic problems. Embedded within the traditional academic fields of all of JMU's colleges, the minor provides the theories and skills needed for trans-disciplinary problem solvers and civic leaders.

Understanding the critical, historical, legal and political foundations of civil society, civic behaviors and leadership for the common good.
