The minor in chemistry is designed for students majoring in a STEM field who want to gain additional technical competencies in chemistry. The chemistry minor is not open to students majoring in chemistry or biophysical chemistry.
The requirements for a minor in chemistry are 24 credit hours in chemistry, distributed as follows:

General Chemistry: 8 Credit Hours
Organic Chemistry: 4-8 Credit Hours
Select one of the following sets of courses: Physical Chemistry: 5 Credit Hours
Select one of the following sets of courses: Analytical Chemistry: 4 Credit Hours
Electives: 3 Credit Hours
- An approved CHEM elective Credits: 3.00
Additional Information
In order to complete this minor, prerequisite courses in mathematics and physics are required. These courses collectively fulfill the nine-credit approved technical elective package for the Bachelor of Science in Engineering . |
