Criminal Justice Minor

The cross disciplinary minor in criminal justice is designed for students who are preparing for careers in law enforcement, corrections, judicial administration or other areas related to the study or management of crime, either directly upon graduation or after further graduate training. The requirement for a minor in criminal justice is 18 credits. Students should allow a minimum of four semesters in which to complete the minor. Students majoring in justice studies may not declare the criminal justice minor.

Restricted Electives: 12 Credit Hours
Choose four courses with at least one course from each of the following units: Criminology and Criminal Behavior
Criminal Justice Institutions
Criminal Justice, Law and Procedure
Special Topics and Internship

1 Students majoring in this discipline may double count only one course as credit for the minor and that major. 2 This course may be taken only once for credit in the Criminal Justice minor. |
