BIO 420. Medical Parasitology

The study and medical implications of parasites that infect humans. Class activities will emphasize parasite morphology, modes of transmission, mechanisms of host entry and infection, niche selection, life cycles, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment and control. Prerequisite(s): BIO 240 /BIO 240L  or by permission of the instructor.
