ANTH 373. Anthropology and the Environment

This course examines how anthropologists engage with the environment and intervene in urgent matters of environmental and social justice, focusing on the theoretical and methodological tools used to move beyond nature/culture divides and conceptualize elements of the changing environment. The course explores how these approaches can be productively applied to understand and address contemporary environmental problems. Prerequisite(s): ANTH 195 or permission of the instructor.
