BIO 418. Conservation Biology

Conservation biology is the study and management of biodiversity with the aim of protecting species, their habitats and ecosystems from excessive rates of extinction. The course will focus on ecological theory, population dynamics, conservation and restoration strategies, and ethical questions for conservation. The course will also teach students to analyze open-ended questions via case studies. Prerequisite(s): BIO 250  and BIO 250L  with a “C-” or better.
