IT 302. Societal and Ethical Issues in Information Technology

This course is a survey of professional, societal and ethical issues in information technology. Topics include professional responsibilities, privacy, intellectual property, risk identification and evaluation, IT governance, economic and availability factors of IT work, and environmental issues. Students develop skills in assuming and defending positions on societal and ethical issues through oral presentations and written reports. Prerequisite(s): IT 203 .
