WRTC 334. Introduction to Popular Writing


Credits 3.00 PeopleSoft Course ID 012921

A theoretical and practical overview of the growing field of popular writing. Students will analyze a broad range of genres – including reviews, commentaries, profiles, blogs, and ads – from a broad range of publications, including newspapers, magazines, and the Web, with the goal of acquiring a critical understanding of the rhetorical aims and practices of popular writing. Prerequisite(s): WRTC 200  and WRTC 201  or permission of instructor
