PSYC 320. Diversity Issues in Psychology

This course addresses issues of diversity and neglected populations in psychology with attention to gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, chronic illness, SES, age, and level of indigenous influence. Particular cultural stressors associated with each group or demographic are discussed and attention is given to the issue of privilege. Course meets sociocultural requirement for the psychology major. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 101 .
