KIN 152. Lifesaving/Lifeguarding

This course is designed to prepare individuals for lifeguard certification.  Emphasis is placed on development of the skills and knowledge needed to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will learn water rescues, professionalism and responsibilities as a lifeguard, to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.
