ISAT 456. Ethical, Legal and Social Implications of Biotechnology

The ethical, legal, and social implications of the field of biotechnology and its applications are explored in this course. Students will analyze at an in-depth level the social impacts and ethical implications of human subjects and biological materials research, cloning, human genetic engineering, and transgenic agricultural crops. Prerequisite(s):  ISAT 171  and ISAT 271  or BIOT 260  or permission of instructor.
