FR 339. French Literature of the Enlightenment

The purpose of this course is to acquaint students with 18th century French literature and culture through the study of key influential texts. Students’ analyses of these texts (i.e. essays, novels, plays, films, paintings and comics) will be grounded in key political, scientific and artistic movements. Prerequisite(s): FR 320 .
