BIO 459. Freshwater Ecology

Functional relationships and productivity of freshwater communities are examined as they are affected by their physical, chemical and biotic environment. Organisms inhabiting lakes, ponds, rivers, streams and estuaries are studied at the population, community and ecosystem levels. Credit may not be earned in both BIO 459 and BIO 559. Prerequisite(s): BIO 250 /BIO 250L  and CHEM 132 .
