MUS 253. Analysis of Music 1950-Present

An investigation of music from the second half of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century. Students will gain an understanding of compositional techniques and formal processes and an awareness of compositional trends during the time period. Prerequisite: Grade of “C-” or higher in MUS 141  or MUS 241 .
