MUS 255. Jazz Theory

This course introduces students to the basic elements of jazz melodic, rhythmic and harmonic structure and style. Written analytical techniques and aural skills development will be emphasized. Prerequisite:  MUS 241 , MUS 143  or permission from the instructor.
