ECON 284. Introduction to Quantitative Analysis in Economics 3.00 Students will learn key mathematical and statistical concepts used in economics. Topics will include linear algebra, optimization, probability theory, joint probability distribution and conditional expectations, and hypothesis testing. Concepts will be emphasized using economic examples. Prerequisite: MATH 205 and COB 191 or MATH 220 .
