MUS 252. Analysis of Music 1900-1950

An investigation of music from the first half of the twentieth century. Students will gain an understanding of compositional techniques and formal processes in atonal and centric music and an awareness of compositional trends during the time period. Prerequisite: Completion of diagnostic exam or a grade of “C-” or higher in MUS 141 .
