ENGR 312. Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer

4.00
This course focuses on the fundamental principles of thermodynamics and heat transfer in engineering systems. It builds on mass, energy, and momentum balance concepts covered in ENGR 311  and incorporates the laws of thermodynamics in addition to the basic mechanisms of 1-dimensional heat transfer. Application to thermal-fluid systems across engineering disciplines is emphasized and reinforcement of course material is provided through experiential learning opportunities and in-depth problem solving. Prerequisite: Grade of “C” or better in ENGR 311 .
