BIO 354. Global Climate Change and Life: Ecological and Biological Impacts of Climate Variability

Global climate change is important to the distribution, diversity, health and survival of organisms. The biota have changed through evolution in part as a response to selection pressures from these variations. Living things can also adjust to change through phenotypic flexibility. This course examines, in a seminar/discussion format, the potential ecological impacts of past and current patterns of climate alteration on organisms. Prerequisite: "C-" or better in one of the following: BIO 140 GEOL 110 , GEOL 115 , ISAT 112 , GEOG 210  or CHEM 353 .
