NSG 450H. Nursing Inquiry and Research Methods

This course will enhance the students’ ability to locate and critically appraise evidence-based guidelines and nursing research to determine their applicability to nursing practice. Students critically examine the links among nursing research theory, and practice. Students will develop an understanding of the underlying paradigms and activities within quantitative and qualitative research. Students will synthesize literature from individual review of research and prepare for public presentation. Prerequisite: Formal acceptance into the nursing major and the honors program.
