BIO 367. Journey Through the Cell

Study of biological molecules, how these molecules interact to carry out lifesustaining processes, where these processes take place in the cell and how these foundations can be applied to solve biological problems. Students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to deeply understand and effectively teach these concepts, as well as an understanding of the mental models that K-8 students have surrounding these concepts as a basis for developing meaningful pedagogies. Prerequisite: Course is open only to IDLS majors and not available for biology or biotechnology major or minor credit.
