SMAD 301. The Media Arts: Culture By Design

Study of how mediated communication molds perception and influences cultural change. Emphasis on how language and imagery, sound and music are combined in current media to create meaning. Consideration of emerging media and their implications for cultural design. Prerequisites: SMAD 201 . Corequisite or Prerequisite: SMAD 202 , SMAD 203 , or permission of the instructor.
