ANTH 315. Human Evolution 3.00 (B) Discusses the emergence of the hominids as a lineage distinct from other apes. Provides evidence for the evolution of bipedalism, tool use, hunting/gathering, major increases in brain size, language and material culture and the hypotheses that have been developed to explain the emergence of these characteristics Prerequisites: ANTH 196, or BIO 114 and BIO 124, or permission of the instructor.
