ARCD 200. Architect Design Studio I 6.00 This studio focuses on the design process through the creation of objects and architectural spaces. Projects involve investigations into syntax and design language, program interpretation, materiality, ritual, use and the constructed order of built space. Emphasis is placed on experimentation, risk and play. Design projects will incorporate constructed drawings, sketching, diagramming, model-building and writing. Prerequisite: All 200-level ARCD courses are restricted to declared art, art history, graphic design, architectural design and industrial design majors during the fall and spring semesters.
